Finale is ok to get used to notation programs, and use it only for that. But if you really want something that is not only for notation, get Sibelius 6.
You can load videos so you can sync your music on movies; you can rewire it to any DAW or sequencer so you no longer need to export midis to use FL, etc.

Thank you for your input. And just in time too, I haven't purchased Finale yet!

From what I see it does, but I could use some clarification: this Sibelius program allows use of notation to compose, similar to that of Finale? Because I currently have acces to Sibelius Compass, which uses only piano roll and hinders my composing.

And what do you think of Finale's Garriton sound? Is the sound produced by Sibelius superior in your opinion?
